Alwyn Lopez Jarreau (born March 12, 1940 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin), known popularly as Al Jarreau, is an American, Grammy Award–winning jazz singer. Versatile withwitharound his cantabile style, Jarreau occurs as hexad-instance Grammy-nominated singer & the just vocalizer in history to win a Grammy Award in 3 separate categories: Jazz, Pop, and R&B.

When the boy of a vicar, he had his number one singing lives inside the church choir. He attended Ripon College, where he as well sang non-professionally by owning a class action known as the Indigos, & graduated within 1962. He went in to earn an expert's degree inside Vocational Rehabilitation from either a University of Iowa, and worked as a rehabilitation counselor inside San Francisco before joining a little jazz club trio headed by George Duke and deciding that he would make office singing his life.

He as well performed the role of the Teen Angel inside a 1996 Broadway production of Grease. On March 6, 2001 he received the star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. His star is placed at 7083 Hollywood Boulevard on the corner of Hollywood Boulevard and La Brea Avenue. Married person Susan Jarreau, Boy Ryan Adam Jarreau.
